Astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson argues that children are born with a natural curiosity that makes them potential scientists, but often this curiosity is lost over time due to school demands and other needs.
Tyson emphasizes the importance of keeping the interest in the sciences alive because it can help shape the future of children and their relationship with the world.
What if your lessons were vibrant? What if they dived and swam in various ways? What if they passed in front of curious eyes, inviting you to expand knowledge? What if they were proof of the evolution of life, how it struggles to remain vibrant, and also how important it is for us to be aware of our responsibility for its preservation?
And what if the AquaRio team told you, teachers from early childhood, elementary, and high school education, that this difference can start now, through our School Visits?
By expanding on the themes and topics of these non-formal activities,
we can assist in your lesson plans, blending learning and developmental
objectives, always in the context of the students' daily lives.
Are you coming with us?

9. We offer social visits for NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) and their social projects: Non-Governmental Organizations are non-profit organizations, formally and autonomously constituted, characterized by solidarity actions in the field of public policies and by legitimate political pressure in favor of populations excluded from citizenship conditions. Registration is done through https://form.jotform.com/212213756330648;
10. School visits by students accompanied by schools directly at the park’s ticket office without prior confirmed reservation will not be accepted, as our capacity to serve is strictly regulated to accommodate pre-booked school groups following strict safety regulations.
1. Upon arrival, please accommodate your group: the group can gather in the lobby for instructions from our operations team. Go to the ticket office and request your registration made in the name of the school and/or institution.
2. Free admission policy: 01 complimentary teacher for every 35 students on the educational visit, with guidance. Policies valid by prior appointment.
3. Tickets received from the ticket office must be checked and verified upon receipt. We will not address complaints later.
4. AquaRio is located in the central region of the city, where traffic can be very heavy at certain times. Therefore, we recommend that schools arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
5. Please notify the commercial department as soon as possible in case of a change in the number of people present during the school visit. Remember that this information is vital to expedite ticket and/or turnstile procedures. This way, your students can enjoy our circuits more comfortably.
6. The use of flash or any lighting by the group during the tour is not allowed, as it can negatively affect the animals.
7. AquaRio does not have a designated area for the school group’s snack, nor a place to accommodate lunchboxes and/or other items from students/schools. Each person should carry their belongings.
8. Our visitation time does not include a break for snacks, so it is up to the school whether to have it before or after the agreed-upon start time of the visit.
9. At AquaRio, the meeting point between the school and our educational biologist will be defined by the operations team upon the school’s arrival. Our educational biologists wear uniforms with light blue shirts, and our operations team wears uniforms with dark blue shirts.
10. If possible, please do not mix students from different grade levels within the same group/subgroup. If it is not possible, please inform the commercial department which grade level our educational biologist should focus on in terms of pedagogical content.
11. There will be a reduction and/or adaptation of the itinerary in case of delays on the part of the school. Therefore, we reiterate our request for the school to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of the visit. Please note that our visit lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes with guidance.
12. Always stay on the circuit with the group.
13. Our educational biologist always leads the group.
14. Additional guidelines related to the visitation circuit and activities will be provided to the group by our educational biologist on the day of the visit.
15. If the rules are not followed, our educational biologist may terminate the school visit before the contracted time.
16. If you are not the person who will be present during the school visit, please pass on this information to the person who will be present. This greatly helps during the operation and makes the experience smoother for students or children and other individuals present during the visit.
